Recommended Steering Stabilizer for a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk Prestige 30xp

Updated 09/29/2025 | Published 09/02/2025

Question:

I have a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk Prestige 30xp with the JRide suspension. It has a decent amount of sway and looseness to the steering that I would like to address. It only has 4800 miles so I wouldnt think anything would be worn out. I think things just need to be upgraded. I get a lot of body roll when cornering, pushing when being past by semis and loose feel in the steering.

Hey Tim, congrats on the new motorhome. It looks like the J Ride suspension includes sway bars, jounce bumpers, and support springs so I am going to recommend you add the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer w/ Custom Brackets item # RM47MR. Most if not all of the issues you're describing will be addressed by making this addition. If you're wanting to upgrade the sway bars we can definitely discuss those options.

The Roadmaster item # RM47MR is a simple bolt-on design with no drilling required. It's really going to help with the common problem of steering wandering due to the overhang on the front of Class C RV's. It uses a nitrogen-charged gas spring that keeps your steering centered.

How thick are the front and rear sway bars on your Jayco? We do have quite a few options to upgrade to thicker bars if yours are smaller.

You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Hey Tim, did the Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer help with the sway and steering issues on your Jayco? I'm asking because your experience could really help others with similar concerns.
