Question:
Hello. I have a 2000 Monaco Motorhome with two Dometic acs. One is Dometic penguin new in 2015 and the other appears original. The penguin works great but the original is bad. Sounds like I need to replace both units to be compatible with the new EPA requirements. My question is if I buy both Advent complete units from you they say Single Zone. Our MH is ducted with multi zones. Will the those single zone thermostats work for my application? Do we have to replace wiring, thermistors etc? Or is this plug and play? Thanks

Hi Leah; you won't have to run new wiring but it isn't as simple as plug and play. The thermostat and air distribution box will have to be changed for both of your existing AC units. All of the old systems are set up for R410A refrigerant so complete system replacement is necessary when upgrading to the R32 systems. You will have two single zone systems with the Advent Air, at this time there is no way to turn it into a multi-zone. For the single zone systems you can choose from the following based on color and capacity:
-Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV92SR or # ADV62SR (Black)
-Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 13,500 Btu - White - R32 # ADV95SR or # ADV52SR (Black)
Any big plans with your Monaco this fall?

Thank you! So will I have two single zone thermostats mounted on the wall to replace the multi zone thermostat we currently have? We plan to head to Florida for the winter.
