Question:
We use our trailer for hunting season, so it sits outside in the rain and snow for months. Will this latch hold up?
asked by: Marcus
Expert Reply:
Marcus, this latch is zinc-plated steel, so it’s built to resist corrosion in outdoor conditions. That said, a little annual maintenance goes a long way - a shot of lubrication on the rods and hinges will keep it moving smoothly even after a winter in the weather. The # M393FR you looked at is 36" but we also carry the 45" # M343FR and 55" # M363FR versions as well.
Do you store the trailer covered or totally out in the open?
And for the rest of the crew - how have your cam latches held up in snowy climates?
