Which Locking Door Latch Works For Ramp Door On 5x8 Enclosed Trailer?

Question:
Can I use this on a ramp door for my 5x8 trailer, or is it only for barn-style doors?

Shelby, you can use the 36 inch latch # M393FR either way. For a 5x8 ramp door, the shorter rods actually work out well since you don’t need a full-height latch like on a tall enclosed trailer. Just be sure to mount the keepers so the cams pull the door tight against the frame.
Do you haul ATVs or yard equipment in that 5x8?
And anyone else who’s put a cam latch on a ramp - what tricks did you use to keep the alignment square? Trial and error?
