Can OneControl System for a Grand Design Solitude 380FL Work with a Dimmer Switch

Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 08/25/2025

Question:

I have a Grand Design Solitude 380FL. I would like to put a dimmer on the living room lights 6 puck lights has double rocker switch shared with kitchen lights and the bedroom which has 4 pucks lights single rocker switch. Also we have the LIPPERT One Control system. I know other people have had issues doing this due to the One Control. Is there a dimmer switch that can be used? I have seen some info that says it has to installed in between the lights and the One Control. Any help would be appreciated especially since Grand Design is terribly bad about not wanting to share diagrams for anything. Thank you

Hey Kevin!

I was seeing the same information you found, so you'll want to install the Dimmer Rocker Switch # 37212275 between the light and the OneControl panel so the switch can work independently. I don't have a wiring schematic for your Grand Design Solitude 380FL, unfortunately, so you might need to have a shop help you map it all out.

You'll also need to make sure that your puck lights are rated for a dimmer switch because not all lights are designed for this.

Hey Kevin, Did you have a chance to install the dimmer switch between the lights and the OneControl panel? I'm curious to know if it worked out for you, as it could help others with similar setups.
