Will the 12-Volt Digital Battery Tester and Analyzer Work on a 6 Volt Battery?

Question:
2019 Airstream Globetrotter with qty 2 6VDC batteries connected for 12VDC system. I want to know if i disconnect the batteries so i can test each individually, will this tester work for a 6VDC battery as it does for 12VDC batteries?

Hey David. The 12-Volt Digital Battery Tester and Analyzer item # PT76QV will not work with 6 volt batteries. It's because the tester is designed for a higher voltage so you'll get a false reading.
The only option I have to test a 6 volt battery is with a Multimeter like item # PT89ZR.

Thanks Jarred, I’ll keep looking for one that tests VDC, CCA and such on 6VDC batteries. Or maybe I’ll just convert to lithium :-)
