Can Equalizer Weight Distribution Change Rating with Just Changing Spring Bars

currently have eq/hitch with 1000lb tongue weight. have downsized to a camper with 280lb t-weight. can i just buy the 400lb eq-hitch bars or will the head need to be changed too?

Hey Gary, we can definitely help but you'll need to replace the spring bar and the spring bar socket to go with a lower spring rate rated setup with your Equalizer setup. For that you'd want the part # EQ90-02-0499 for the spring bars and then part # EQ90-03-0400 for the correct rated sockets. How did you like the Equal-i-zer setup?
