Question:
Can I charge the BaseCharge 600+ from my truck’s 12V outlet while driving?
asked by: Ben
Expert Reply:
Yes, Ben, you can charge it from your vehicle using the BioLite 12V charging cable # BL59ZR or another compatible cable. The 600+ # BL23ZR will take longer than wall charging (about 6–8 hours from 12V), so topping it off while you’re on the road works great.
Same applies to the 1500w # BL83ZR, just expect a longer full-charge time because of its larger capacity.
You can also use solar panels to charge it like with the BioLite Portable 100-Watt Solar Panel # BL97ZR. If using another type of panel, you'll need adapter # BL49ZR.
What do you think is best for your situation? If you plan to camp and tailgate, you may want the 12v charger adapter AND the solar panel so that you can always top off wherever you are.
