How to Loosen a Stuck Gooseneck Hitch Ball?

Hello, I have a gooseneck and chain set that I’ve had a problem, removing the gooseneck ball from the bed. I lift the handle and it does not release, any recommendations on how I may remove it

Hey John. You can wiggle the gooseneck ball back and forth or lightly tap it with a hammer to see if that loosens it up. If you can crawl under your truck and see the bottom of it you can tap it out with a piece of metal or rebar.

What kind of gooseneck hitch is it and what year, make, and model is your truck?
