Will the Yakima SkyBox NX Skinny fit on my 2021 Subaru Outback with factory crossbars? I want to be sure the hatch will still open.

Great question, Dave!
The SkyBox NX Skinny 12 cu ft - Black Carbonite # Y93QD will work with your Outback’s factory crossbar spread, and the box will mount up just fine. It is a bit long at 84", but the Outbacks have enough clearance to fully open the hatch. Yakima also confirms compatibility with this box and vehicle.
If you want to be 100% sure, measure from the center of your front crossbar to the seam where your hatch meets the roof. If that measurement is 57 inches or more, you’re in the clear. Let me know if you need help measuring!
