Will I need Thule Xadapt Part THXADAPT7 for the Factory Rack on my 2000 Subaru Legacy

Question:
Just ordered TH91725 Ski/Board flat rack for my Grandaughter. Car is a 2000 Subaru Legacy with factory roof rack. Do I need the adapter for ease of use? How many adapters if yes. Only one pictured, need 4?

As long as the cross bars on your factory rack are not wider than 2-3/4 inches and are not more than 1 inch thick, the rack should bolt on fine.
The adapter you were looking at is for a certain type of Thule adjustable cross bars.
