Is It Easy To Do My Own Maintenance On Onan Cummins Generator 6,000W CM94RR?

Question:
2014 Jayco Seneca 37FS I do most of my own maintenance. Can I change the oil and filters myself or do I have to take it to a Cummins dealer?

Hey Ken, you’re in luck. The Onan 6000 Watt Generator with the Cummins Diesel # CM94RR is designed for real-world diy maintenance. Oil changes and air filter swaps take basic tools and can be done in 20–30 minutes.
The front service panel pops off without tools, and you can check diagnostics through the onboard controller. There’s no spark plug to mess with, and the fuel filter is easy to reach.
Many of our Jayco and Thor owners do all their own maintenance with no issues. Oil change every 150 hours, air filter every 300, fuel filter every 500.
