Is There A Motor Kit For The Bulldog Square Jack BD180455?
Updated 07/28/2025 | Published 07/16/2025 >
Question:
Is there a motor option for the BD180455. I have 2 already welded in place and need to add motors and possibly gearbox to each. I am thinking if there is a handle replacement that would allow for a gearbox connection then hook a motor to the gearbox but the issue is finding the handle to stem replacement. Or if you guys can suggest a better way.

Hi Damon!
We do have a replacement handle for the Bulldog Square Jack # BD180455 with the # BD800144, but it is just a standard handle. We don't have a way to motorize the # BD180455, unfortunately.
You could cut the handle down and make it so a drill could be attached to it, but there would not be a way to tie two jacks together. At least not that I am aware of. Reason being, both jacks will crank the same way. Clockwise up, counter-clockwise down. You would need to drill into the back of one of the jacks and then figure out how to attach a shaft to the internals of that jack and the crank of the jack on the other side. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it isn't going to be easy and I can't tell you how to go about doing it.
What are your jacks attached to? A trailer or something else? And, would you be open to cutting those jacks off to go with an option that does have a motor kit available and can tie two jack together? Lot of question, sorry.

Thanks Lazer, I currently have the handles cut and welded on Nuts to allow for using Sockets and/or drill but I really want to convert to independent motorized jacks. This is a mobile Stage (concert stage) that I built and I have everything motorized for folding out except these back 2 jacks. I want to add them to my remote when deploying to make it an easier operation. I think i am going to try to fabricate something before replacing the jacks. I just put them on a couple years ago and hate to buy more. If I am unable to build something I will get back with you for a couple jacks and motors. thanks you.
