Do Two Small Inner Springs Have Same Power as One Large Spring on Gorilla-Lift

Question:
2nd lift i,ve installed and used. tailgate is 63.5 in wide and 49.5 high works good with one large spring hooked up. hard to push down and wont stay down with 2 2 large hooked up.my question is do 2 small springs have apporimately the same tension as one large spring?

Hi Webb; the two small springs are the equivalent of one large outer spring so using those will get the # GL1 working the way you want it to.
