Do You Carry the Fan Motor for My Duo Therm 59516.531 Air Conditioner, or do I Need a New System?

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 07/11/2025

Question:

We have a 2006 Newmar Cypress fifth wheel with a duo therm 59516.531 a/c unit. The fan motor quit. Can we just replace that or do we need a whole new a/c unit?

Hello Trista,

I am sorry, but we do not carry the replacement motor for your Duo Therm 59516.531 Air Conditioner. With RV refrigerant changing from R410a to R32 this year, I recommend swapping out your entire system. The old R410a parts will not work with the new R32 parts, which is why you need a whole new set-up. The upside is that R32 is much more efficient, which makes it a win-win for the environment and the consumer.

The Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR99TD (for ductless # FR59TD ) that you were looking at would definitely be my choice. This 18,000 BTU air conditioner will not just cool you down quicker, but it is also very quiet. I attached a video for you to check out as well.

Got any big adventures coming up in the near future? Where are you headed?

Hey Trista, Did you decide to go with the Furrion Chill Cube air conditioner for your Newmar Cypress? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, especially with the new R32 refrigerant. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation!
