Will the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack Work w/ a Spare Tire on a 2023 Winnebago Solis NPS?

Will this rack work with a 2023 Winnebago Solis NPS with spare tire mounted on left door? We have 2 bikes, one E and one road.

Hey Marcia, thanks for the pictures. The Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Ram ProMaster Rear Door item # TH302013 definitely fits your 2023 Winnebago Solis NPS however you'll need to take a couple of measurements to see if it's compatible with that spare tire.

How far out does the spare tire stick from the back door and how wide are your handle bars from the center to one of the tips?

Please note that the Thule Elite Van XT 2 item # TH302013 has a 42 lbs maximum capacity for one bike and a total capacity of 77 lbs for both bikes. It works with tires up to 2.75" wide.

Hi Jerred, Our spare tire measures 13 inches which is 3 over your measurement. We would have to move the spare tire which is possible to underneath the van at an expense. If you have another suggestion such as swing away or a vertical door mount, we would be interested. Unfortunately we already purchased the rack. Marcia

@MarciaB That spare tire sticking out 13" is going to get in the way of hitch mounted bike rack, even with a swing away option like the item # RKY10002. I do not have a vertical bike rack that attaches to your door either. Have you tried installing your Thule item # TH302013 bike rack and seeing if the wheel tray sits above your spare tire with the bikes on it?
