Gooseneck Hitch for 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 06/30/2025

Question:

I have a 2015 Chevy 2500HD. It does not have a gooseneck hitch. I would like to upgrade to a 5er and I’m looking at the Gen Y. They have an in-bed hitch adapter that attached to the OEM hitch. Is there a Curt or Reese or some other under-bed hit hitch that would provide the gooseneck hit hitch that wasn’t factory installed?

Hi Sean; are you saying you do not have anything installed on your 2015 Silverado 2500 for gooseneck or 5th wheel towing? Assuming you don't have any kind of rails or anything else already installed you can add the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1012.

This is the best option for a gooseneck hitch on your Silverado. The Turnoverball gives you complete access to your bed when you aren't towing since the ball stores upside down in the hitch. It also uses a square base to prevent it from rotating during hookup. The Turnoverball will allow you to tow the 5th wheel using the Gen-Y pin box. You're also going to want to add the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring # 50-97-410.

What kind of 5th wheel are you getting?

Hi Sean, how did the installation of the B&W Turnoverball go on your Silverado? Did it work well with the Gen-Y pin box for your 5th wheel? I'm curious to know because it could really help others in a similar situation!
