Question:
Hello. I am trying to to convert my factory 4 pin to a 7 pin with a break controller on my 1999 f350. I was wondering if you sell a complete package or have specific recommendations. Thank you

We can definitely help you out with that, Michael! We technically don't have a full wiring and brake controller package, but we do have the needed parts.
You will want to start with the Tekonsha # 118243, which includes the 7-way harness and includes the needed fuses and relays. This is a direct fit part and will take at most 20 minutes to install. Gotta love plug and play stuff.
Next will be the brake controller. We have quite a few options for these, but the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED96CR and the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK38ER are among my favorites. Both are proportional, easy to use, and include the pigtail wiring harness that plugs into a port under your dash (down near the center console). The Tekonsha can handle 3 axles, whereas the Redarc can only handle 2, but being 6'5" I tend to smack my knee on controllers that mount like the Tekonsha. The Redarc main module mounts up and out of the way and only the knob is visible, but you would need to drill a hole for it to be mounted. I do prefer the Redarc, but the price of the Tekonsha is hard to beat.
Was there a controller you already had your eye on? Or a better question, how many axles does what you are towing have?

Hey Michael, Did you decide on a brake controller for your F350? I'm curious if the Tekonsha or Redarc worked out for you, especially with the axle setup you have. Your experience could really help others in a similar situation.
