Question:
My Yakima exo bottom left arm has a broken knob. The screw to release it is frozen and stripped so I can’t remove it. I’m now forced to buy the whole left arm BUT does it also come with the knob assembly ?

Hello Eamon,
I am sorry to hear that the knob as broke on your Yakima EXO swing away base. The knob is not included with the Replacement Left Arm for Yakima SwingBase Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y66KV, so you will also need the Replacement Knob Assembly for Yakima Exo SwingBase Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y36KV.
Did something happen to the knob, or did it just wear out due to lots of use?

To be honest, the left knob was always way tighter to use than the right knob. I probably should have reported it but I didn’t have much knowledge on how smoothly the knob was supposed to operate. However after comparing to the operation of knobs on the upper assembly of the EXO, I believe the lower left arm knob was always malfunctioning
