Question:
I need a RV replacement A/C for my 41 Ft KZ. It is a Coleman 15000 BTU, 115 VAC model 48254C8692. The best Plug and Play is preferred

Hi Larry; there have been too many compatibility issues with plug and play replacements so we no longer recommend it. You don't want to go through the installation process only to find nothing works. Instead, we recommend complete replacement.
That might sound like a hassle but since all of the AC units have switched to the new R32 refrigerant, and they aren't backwards compatible, now is a great time to swap everything out. This also means old R410A parts are no longer being manufactured and won't be available once they're gone.
For a replacement I recommend the new Furrion Chill Cube. This is a really nice system that uses a variable speed compressor. The Chill Cube is incredibly efficient, quiet, and has an 18,000 Btu cooling capacity. It can also be operated via the remote, which acts as the thermostat. You can choose from the following based on ducted/ductless and color:
-Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ductless - 18,000 Btu - Black # FR27TD
-Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ductless - 18,000 Btu - White # FR59TD
-Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - Black # FR39TD
-Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR99TD
-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ducted # FR69TD (if you have a furnace)
-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ducted # FR49TD (if you have a furnace)
The last two models listed also include a wall thermostat which is necessary to control a furnace if you have one. There will be a bit of a wait on these because it is the time of year when we burn through our stock of AC units and it is incredibly popular. If you have a more immediate need you can consider and alternative like the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat - Ductless # GE94RR or Ducted # GE95ZR which are also new R32 units.

Hey Larry, did you decide to go with the Furrion Chill Cube or the GE Appliances Deluxe Plus for your RV? I'm curious to know how the installation went and if you're satisfied with the cooling performance. Your experience could really help others looking to upgrade their A/C systems.
