Hello John,

Yes, you can most definitely use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs - Saddle Style - Universal Mount # TH898 on your 2012 Subaru Impreza Wagon.

I am showing that on most of the wagons they have the raised rails that run from front to back. I would go with the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - Aero Crossbars - Raised Side Rails - Aluminum - 58" Long - Silver # MPG216. The 58" long crossbars will be perfect for the 4"-8" of overhand required for the Hullavator (please refer to image that I attached).

Are you just getting into Kayaking, or just getting a better set-up? Do you have a favorite river or lake you like to go out on?

Sorry I just saw your reply. My 2012 Impreza wagon does not have the racks that run from front to back, but racks that attach to the roof. Thanks for your help.

@JohnK Since you do not have the rails that run from front to back, and need the 4-8" of overhang for the Hullavator # TH898, this is the set-up I would go with: - Inno Feet for Square Crossbars - Track Systems and Fixed Mounting Points - Black - Qty 4 # INXP - Custom Fit Kit for Inno XS300, XS350, XS400, XS450, INTR, and INXR Roof Rack Feet # INTR145 - Inno Square Crossbars - Steel - Black - 54" Long - Qty 2 # INB137 - this is going to say it is not a confirmed fit because the 50" bars are recommended for the Impreza, but you need the 4-8" of overhang which is why you need the longer bars. I had to piece the kit together to make sure you have the overhang you need.
