Question:

I am now looking for a complete package to install on the 2020 Kia Soul GT turbo. I need a base plate, braking system (fixed install), wiring system for lights, breakaway switch, monitor for coach. I currently have a blue ox towbar. I would prefer to have a recommendation for an install near me (Gainesville, VA 20155) but would consider bringing the car to you. Thanks for your assistance.

Hey Larry, for your 2020 Kia Soul GT Turbo the correct Blue Ox base plate kit would be the part # BLU76XR which will work great with your Blue Ox tow bar.

For the lighting the Roadmaster kit part # RM-15267 comes with everything you'd need to install a diode kit.

For a permanent install braking system the Demco Stay In Play part # SM99251 would be the best option as our installers say that it works the best and also has easiest install. This comes with a breakaway kit as well.

I would like to swap the Blue Ox base plate kit in my quote for a Roadmaster base plate. Please include the Roadmaster to Blue Ox tow bar converters. One of the dislikes that I have for the Demco Stay in Play braking system is the activity lights mount on the rear view mirror of the tow car. They are difficult to see in bright light. Does someone make a wireless/wired display that would appear in the RV cab?

@Larry For a Roadmaster base plate kit you'd want the part # RM82VR and for the correct adapter you'd want the part # BX88185. For the lighting kit what you would want is the Demco WIreless Coachlink part # SM99945. This gives you a remote monitor for the application of the towed vehicles brakes.
