Does Fan-Tastic Ultra Breeze Cover Need to Allow RV Roof Vent Lid to Open all the Way

I have a Fantast fan vent that opens to 12.5 inches. When using the Ultra Breeze cover that is 10.5 inches high , what effect will it have on lift motor when the lid wants to lift to the full height. What tell the lift to stop short of 12.5inches. Thank You

RV roof vents with electric lid lifting motors are designed to just stop when they feel resistance which is why the roof vent lids like the part # DMC38FR don't have to be as tall as the lid goes when opened. You'll also get full air flow ventilation as well.

The correct lift arm for your Fan-Tastic Roof Vent 4000BT is the #FVK8014-05. The only flat lid we have is the Replacement Flat Lid for Dometic Fan-Tastic Roof Vent - Smoke #DMC66FR.
