Replacement Roof Lid for Dometic 1450 Model Fan

Updated 06/20/2025 | Published 06/17/2025

Question:

I have a Dometic roof fan on my pick up truck slide in camper. model number 1400 or maybe 1450, not sure how to tell the difference . THe plastic break-away connector to the metal lift arm has broken. I think i just need to replace this little plastic connector arm, but if necessary i can but the entire lid and arm mechanism if needed. It is about 6 years old. rather than a hinge it has 2 metal pins that hold the lid in place on the fan housing. I can send pictures if you need them. Can you help me? thanks. Dometic tells me that little plastic doesn't cone separate ( of course it could because it snaps into place) so i should buy the entire dome : sku K1020-09. However my model 1450 fan has 2 small pins that slide in to attach the dome NOT a big hinge. My fan also is manual lift. Can you sell me the complete dome with that connectoe piece?

Hey David, thanks for reaching out and providing all of the information!

I'm not seeing that we're able to separate out the pieces like you're wanting, but we do have the entire roof vent lid assembly as part # DMC59MR on our site (which is the exact same as the K1020-09 you referenced).

You might be able to see if a local trailer shop has a random piece lying around that might work, but odds are that you'll need to replace the whole lid assembly.

@DavidK I'm glad you were able to find the part K1419-19 on our site (as part # DMC96RR), but I'm sorry we aren't able to get it to you as quick as you're needing! Good luck in your search for it, and feel free to reach back out if something else comes up!
