Hello, everybody, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Replacement Dome Kit for the Dometic Fan-Tastic RV Roof Vents. This is gonna be in a nice tinted finish. Now, folks, this will replace the dome, the seal, the slide, and the pin kit for the Dometic Fan-Tastic Vent Assembly. So, you got the slides, the seal all the way around, and the pins. It's a smoke color as you can see, you can still see through a little bit.
It is a polyurethane dome construction, and it filters UV light ray while also allowing light in. Now, for some quick dimensions. When I measured it side to side earlier, edge to edge, I got 15 by 15 right at the widest point. And as far as a height, I got about 2 1/2 inches tall up here, and at the lowest part, I got about 1 1/4 inches at the shortest part. So, those two heights, again, keep in mind it's gonna go up and up and up until it reaches that apex of the height there, but that's kind of a where I was measuring kind of deal.

Finally… the right vent cover for my vent fan! No piano hinge. Just the correct ear/tabs for a pin type hinge!
The product was exactly what I ordered. Simple process to replace my missing cover.
Lost the cover in a thunderstorm, parked between two semis in a rest area and the fan cover was down tight. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to stop mother nature. This one is a perfect match for what was originally installed from the manufacturer.
At almost exactly one year (June 29th) the dome kit failed again, in the same place where the lever attaches to the lid.
I do love E-Trailer though...retail support and customer service are outstanding!
