Order of Upgrades to Help Improve Handling and Sway on a Class C RV Ford E-350 Chassis

Updated 06/17/2025 | Published 06/12/2025

Question:

I have a class C RV that’s on the Ford E-350 chassis approximately 21ft. Want to make it drive safer by upgrading the handling turning, reduce sway, etc. What would make the biggest difference: thicker sway bars, helper springs roadactive suspension, or jounce springs timbren, sumo springs? Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out, Oliver!

Typically, the best place to start are anti-sway bars, then a steering stabilizer, and finally jounce springs (I prefer the SumoSprings brand). Rear kits first, then front kits as that will help the most (if you plan on only doing upgrades here and there).

If you let me know what year your E-350 is along with the GVWR of your motorhome, I'd be more than happy to make list of the parts that will fit!
