Question:

Actually a little farther in from the bumper, but Im not Im not sure if that would work for this. I also see its connected wiring harness by the rear tire. So Im just wondering whats gonna work best for me. As far as a harness, or if I need to lets fish the four flat

Hello Ryan,

It all depends on if your 2012 GMC Acadia came with the factory tow package or not. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55384 is for if the vehicle DID come with the factory tow package. If you looked under the vehicle and saw the correct connectors then the # C55384 should work great.

If your 2012 GMC Acadia did NOT come with the factory tow package then you will actually need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118451, which is also a "plug-n-play" but requires a little more work to install as the connectors are plugged in through your rear tail lights.

I am very sorry I do not have a more direct answer for you, but it all depends on what package your 2012 GMC Acadia came with. If you are seeing the right connectors for the # C55384 I would purchase that one. Because I am recommending that wiring to you, if for some reason it did not work let me know and I will make sure you get a return label for a full refund.

What do you plan on using the wiring for? Hitch mounted accessory, or to tow a small trailer?

Hey Ryan, did you find out if your Acadia has the factory tow package and decide which wiring harness to go with? I'm curious about your choice because it could help others in a similar situation.
