What Bushing Kit And Equalizer Upgrade Do I Need For My Equa-flex Equalizer?

Updated 09/09/2025 | Published 06/03/2025

Question:

Im going to replace the bushings on my trailer suspension. I have a equi-flex 279687 eqilizer. I was going to replace that too but its no longer available. Will the MORryde MR76ZR work with my trailer? Is the cre3000 33 the correct replacement for the equi-flex should I decide to replace it too?

Hey Neil,

The MORyde kit # MR76ZR will work as a replacement kit for you and that Equa-Felx equalizer.

If you were to see about replacing the Equa-flex we do have replacements for it. The CRE3000. # MR87ZR, will work as a replacement for you. It is about an inch longer than the Equi-flex you have on your trailer now so instead of going with the 3 -1/8" shackle kit, # MR76ZR, I recommend going with the shorter kit for 2-1/4" long shackles part # MR46ZR. This will fit better with your longer equalizer. The bushings in both kits are the same and will work either way, it is just a longer shackle strap.

How old is the equalizer on your trailer? Depending on how much use it has you may want to go ahead and upgrade that as well.

Hey Neil, Did you decide to go with the MORryde kit for your trailer suspension? I'm curious if the recommendation to use the shorter shackle kit worked out for you. Let me know how it went, as it could help others with similar setups.

@NickS The 2 1/4 shackle worked perfectly

@NeilR That is great to hear! Nowadays that is the "standard" length so I am glad it was able to make up for the different sized equalizer. Have you gotten a chance to get on the road and see if there is a ride difference?
