Roof Rack Recommendation for 2024 Ford Edge ST with Glass Roof

Updated 09/08/2025 | Published 06/03/2025

Question:

2024 Ford Edge ST w/ glass moon roof bare roof, no rails. Looking for Roof rack and attachment to carry Kayak. Used the My Vehicle to sort out the possibilities but found it confusing - wide disparity in $. Will probably want to add other attachments in the future luggage, paddle board etc.. Minimizing Road noise is important. Can you point me towards ones that make most sense?

Hey Perry, yeah there are a lot of roof rack options that fit your 2024 Ford Edge ST with a glass roof but I really like the Inno Aero part # IN93ZV as this is a nicer roof rack with aero bars that will help keep wind noise down and also it doesn't cost quite as much as the other similar quality racks so it's the best value as well.

Let me know what you'd plan to carry on the rack and I can help pick out other carriers for that as well.

Hey Perry, did you decide to go with the Inno Aero roof rack for your Ford Edge? I'm curious if it helped with minimizing road noise while carrying your kayak. Your experience could really help others looking for a similar setup!

@JamesonC I have been reading up on these roof racks. Complaints on "whistling" and other road noise at speeds. I am unsure of the compatibility of the Thule kayak carrier w/ non-Thule roof rack. Also the high cost of the Thule Kayak carrier bracket pair is hard to justify -- especially since I am unsure of the "compatibility" between them. Certainly, Thule will not honor or assist with issues using Inno Aero and vice versa

@Perry You found whistling issues with the Inno rack or roof racks in general? Thule racks would for sure fit these crossbars.
