I Got A Roof Rack From A Friend With A 2018 Civic, I Have A 2015. Do I Need Anything Different?

I am reaching regarding a roof rack, getting a roof rack from a family friend but he got it for a 2018 honda civic sedan and I own a 2015 model would there be anything different from the two year?

Hey Daniel,

It depends on the type of roof rack you are getting, and sometimes the trim of the vehicle. The crossbars are going to be good to use either way as those are not vehicle specific. Its the attachment feet that may change with your vehicle. We have those separately for you if you end up needing them.

Let me know what brand roof rack you are getting from your family friend and I will compare between the 2 vehicles. Also, let me know if you have a coupe or sedan just so I can cover all the bases.

@DanielV Perfect that is the information I needed! The only thing different for that rack and your vehicle is the fit kit. You will need part # DK319 for that rack to work on your vehicle. The crossbars and legs will be the same and you can use those. There was a certain design change in the vehicle which is why they are different, but with that fit kit you will be all set.
