Water Heater with Tank Recommendation for a 2024 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS

Updated 06/20/2025 | Published 05/31/2025

Question:

I have a 2024 Grand Design Reflection model 337RLS with a Furrion FWH09AFA tankless water heater. I would like to change it out for a 6 gallon gas electric tank style water heater. Could I get a recommendation for a replacement that would require the least amount of modifications to my trailer? Thank you.

Hey Roger, thanks for reaching out!

The Dometic RV Water Heater with Door Kit # DMC43RR is the best replacement we have for you since it works with gas and 12V power. It does fit a 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep cutout so you'll just need to compare that to what you currently have and see what type of modifications you might need to make.

Are you planning on doing the installation on your own, or having a tech install it for you?

Jon, I am planning to do the install myself, I have a strong mechanical background. Would the replacement you're suggest come with a 110V heating element also? Thanks Roger

@RogerR It looks like the instructions call for disconnecting your 12V and 110V/120V power for the installation, but I'm not seeing that the heating element is 110V.

@JonG Thank you for the information Jon. I’ve been doing some research, this is what I came up with. DMC74FR 6 gal gas electric water heater. DMC58FR door- black AT91230 switch - white, I prefer black, which is a 91270. I couldn’t find it in your website. Please let me know your thoughts about this set up. Thank you. Roger

@Roger Those parts look great! I've requested to have the 91270 added to our site, but I'm still waiting to hear if that's something we'll be doing or not.
