Hello, I have a 2018 tacoma trd pro with icon rxt rear leaf springs. I regularly carry 5-600 lbs on the bed but would like to add the air bag suspension kit for when Im towing. Will the air lifter 5000 work on my aftermarket leaf springs? Maybe I just need a longer u bolt as the springs are thicker than oem. Please let me know if we can make this work

Hello Andrew, thanks for reaching out. The Air Lift # AL49DQ can absolutely still work on your 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro with aftermarket leaf springs. As long as the leaf springs are the same width as the stock springs the brackets will fit. You are correct you will likely need longer U-bolts since there is typically not a lot of thread left even with the stock springs (see picture below).
It looks like we no longer carry a longer U-bolt alternative for this, but if you reach out directly to Air Lift they may be able to provide one. Or you might be able to find one at a local hardware store.
If you plan to tow frequently I also recommend adding an onboard compressor like the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000EZ. This will allow you to monitor and fill the bags using your smartphone, or with the included remote.
