Idea to Improve Ride Quality of 2011 RLS Cougar 27

Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/17/2025

Question:

I’m looking for an idea similar to sumo Springs. And that might be very well where we land. But was curious of other makes or other ideas or other items that might rate better than sumo Springs. We have a 2011 27 RLS cougar and looking for something to help for a smoother ride. It is a dual axle so I’m assuming each axle would need its own Spring helper.

Hey Chris, we are seeing a lot of people have really great results by switching to cushioned equalizers on their RVs to improve the ride quality. If you are wanting to improve ride quality that would be what I would go with like the MORryde Alltrek 4000 part # MR29DR if you have a 35 inch wheelbase or the part # MR89DR if you have a 33 inch wheelbase.

Sumosprings can help too but it would need to be a situation where you are basically bottoming out the current suspension otherwise the additional support won't help much.

Hey Chris, did you decide to try the cushioned equalizers for your Cougar to improve the ride quality? I'm asking because your experience could really help others looking for a smoother ride with their RVs.
