Will Installing Larger Wheels and Tires Affect Fit of Air Bag and Compressor
Updated 05/12/2025 | Published 05/10/2025 >
Question:
Ready to buy my 5,000lb airbag kit w/automatic air compressor under the truck mount. Going on: 2024 Ram Laramie Mega Cab 2500 4x4 6.7 truck, it has 28” rins w/ 275.75/18 tires. I am putting 285/75/20 all terrain tires w/20x9 rims on it. Will that change anything concerning the 5,000lb airbags themself’s and mounting? I’m sure it dosen’t affect the compressor at all. Unless I missed something along my research trail. Thanks Steve

Hey Steve, great question but just changing the wheels and tire will will not affect the fit of the air bag kit and compressor you plan to install on your 2024 Ram 2500. The only thing that does change things is if you were to install a lift kit which in that case you can just use spacers. Which air bag and compressor kit are you going with?
