Can Power Mountain Tallboy Be Used For Changing Tires On 16,000 lb Truck With Camper In Bed?

Question:

Power Mountain Tallboy Off-Road Bottle Jack - 8-1/2 to 37-3/4 Lift - 12,000 lbs Part Number: PM34FR Hi, I have a F450 with a truck camper on the bed. Total loaded weight is ~16K. Would this jack be enough to change a tire, or do I really need an 8 ton jack? Thanks, Derek

Hello Derek, thanks for reaching out. Yes, a 12,000 lb bottle jack like the Power Mountain Tallboy Off-Road Bottle Jack # PM34FR would be completely fine to use with that setup. You would not be lifting the full weight of the truck and camper to change a tire, so you would not be risking overloading the jack at all as long at the other 2 wheels are on the ground.

What kind of camper to you have? Just curious because 16K is heavy even for an F450.

Hey Derek, did the Power Mountain Tallboy Off-Road Bottle Jack work out for changing your tire with the camper on your F450? I'm asking because it could help others feel confident using it for similar setups.
