What Would Static Sound on RV Inverter be Caused By

Question:
Everytime I shut everthing off in the camper the converter makes a crackling staic sound and the only way it will go away is to turn on a light or something that draws power. I checked and made sure all the wires in the panel were tight and also check the main power plug for any damage. Everthing looks normal. Wondering if I replace converter if it will stop making that noise

Hey Corey, if it's a static type sound that would indicate something is wrong on the AC portion of the converter and a new lower section would fix that. Or if it's just a converter you'd want to replace that. What is the amperage rating of what you have now and what is your battery type?
