Can Surco 2 Bike Carrier be Mounted on Van Side-Mounted Ladder

Question:
My Step Van will have the ladder on the side not in the back/rear of the van. The ladders will likely be on the driver side. Can I mount one of your ladder racks to my side ladder? Thanks.

Hey Rocco, thanks for reaching out!
I mean, I'm sure the Surco 2 Bike Carrier # SP501BR will fit on your ladder, but it would be a terrible idea to mount bikes on the side of your van - that's just asking for someone or something to come into contact with them and cause them to fly off the rack and cause even more problems.
Do you have a hitch receiver on your van? That would be WAY better to use.

Thanks a lot Jon. I will have to install the ladder in the back then. Yes, I have a hitch receiver in the back, but was saving it for a cargo box. Finally, my ladder is a Universal Exterior RV Ladder, by Stromberg Carlson, LA-401. Is the Surco Bike Carrier suitable for my ladder?
