Availability of Small Inverter for AC Light in Trailer

Question:
Hello e-trailer, My wife and I purchased a new 2023 Coachman Freedom Express Ultra Lite travel trailer. The kitchen area ceiling light is wired with 12v DC voltage. The original light globe broke, so I replaced it with an AC dual E26 bulb light fixture. Now I need to purchase a push button DC to AC volt switch where the switch hole diameter is approximately 3/8” hole Already drilled the hole to accommodate the new switch in the side top portion of the new AC ceiling light to mount the push button convertor switch. Do you guys sell a DC to AC converter switch relatively small in size that accomplishes the DC to AC conversion and fits my needs? I also purchased two 120 volt/ 60w AC E26 base LED bulbs to use in the new light fixture once the DC to AC conversion is accomplished. I’ve included photos with a penny next to the current switch that provides scale. Thanks much and look forward to hearing some good news! Keith

Hey Keith! I wish I had the good news you were looking forward to but that isn't the case here. Honestly, I would give up on the light you have now and switch to a light that runs off of 12V power. There are no tiny inverters you can install for a single fixture like this to convert from DC to AC.
You can add an inverter like the Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD64FR but you're still going to have to do some rewiring. You can also rewire the light to run off AC from your power center when you're hooked up to shore power but it won't run off of the battery then. Neither of these are good options for the sake of a light.

Thanks for your honest opinion and quick response Robin. My wife will be disappointed abandoning our newly purchased AC light, but it is what it is and your other suggestions do sound too time consuming and not worth the effort. Kind regards! K. Wehrle
