Where to Find Key Number for Bauer RV Door Latch

Question:

Hi I’m Trying to figure out which replacement key I need to this Bauer lock of a trailer. I have pictures of the lock. There are number on it but I don’t think it’s the key code. The numbers I found were 082621 which sounds more like a date and bp-8-1. Also No.8,621,901.

Hey Vitaly, unfortunately the number on the lock core isn't the key number you are looking for. The only place it would be listed is on the key or if you were to remove the door latch it would be on the back of the assembly.

Thank you for the quick reply. I did take it apart to look for the code inside but had no luck. I have pictures I could send maybe you can see

@VitalyE Look at the 6th pic of the part # BA54FR and you'll see 344 on a sticker on the back of the front plate of the latch. Did you take the latch all the way apart?
