Can Hydrastar Actuator Be Exposed To Elements

Question:
Are the actuators weatherproof and mounted exposed at the front of the trailer?

Hey Ed!
The actuator included with the Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit # HYD74VR can indeed be exposed to the elements if you wanted to mount it outside somewhere on the trailer tongue instead of undercover. The construction consists of weathertight seals that will protect the internal components from nature and the aluminum build will prevent any corrosion over time.
One word of caution though is to refrain from using a power washer on it or bringing it through a commercial car wash. Doing this could actually damage those weathertight seals.

Hey Ed, Did you decide to mount the actuator on the trailer tongue, and if so, how is it holding up against the weather? I'm curious to know how it's working for you, as it could help others considering a similar setup.
