Can Timbren Axle-Less Kit be Used in Place of Lippert Torsion Axle

Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/17/2025

Question:

I am wondering if this Timbren axle will fit the trailer drums/4-bolt brakes/bearings I have. They were pulled off a Lippert torsion axle with 84 1,75inch diameter spindles. If my parts will fit the Timbren spindles, I may order it ...still comparison shopping the Timbren versus straight axle and leaf spring costs. Thanks.

Hey Jack, thanks for reaching out!

The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # TASR1THDS04 will work with your current parts, as long as the bearings and seal from your hubs match what the Timbren spindles take.

The Timbren system fits with L68149 inner and L44649 outer bearings, along with a grease seal that has a 1.719" inner diameter.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Jack, did you find that the Timbren axle worked with your current parts, or are you still comparing it to the straight axle and leaf spring options? I'm curious to know how it turned out for you, as it could help others in a similar situation.
