Question:
Hello, I recently purchased a Replacement 5-Function Remote Receiver with Replaceable Fusesinch from eTrailer and hope to install it sooner. The remote that I had when I bought the trailer which worked with the old card I am replacing - same type looks like a Replacement New-Style Linc Analog Remote - 5 Functioninch from eTrailer, so I am assuming it is the same one. Should I be able to use the directions shown here to get the new receiver to work with the old remote? Thanks in advance! Best, TC

Hey Tom, if the remote is indeed the same then yes you can use the instructions for the Replacement New-Style Linc Analog Remote # LC305117.
If the remote is different, or you're still not sure, feel free to send some pictures in so I can get a better look!
Let me know below if there is anything else I can do for you!

Hi Bryce, when I went to swap the new card in, I decided to check the fuses on the card and found two of them blown. Replaced the fuses and now my remote works fine! I won't mention the local service shop that told me the card was bad last spring (my rookie season). Of course, that assessment was given when I had the manual switches replaced and found that they and the remote (which was working before I took the trailer to them to have the switches replaced) were no longer working. AND to "pile on", while troubleshooting the fuses, I found two new wires coming into the area behind the distribution box (where the card is) that do not terminate to anything (ie they a just there, not connected to anything). Gee, I wonder what those might power!? So now, I will look up eTrailer's return policy, because I don't need (and never needed) the card. You guys are great, I just had bad information. I am also now looking for instructions on where those manual switch wires need to go, because clearly I am NOT taking it back to THOSE guys!!
