Question:
I have a 50 amp fifth wheel with two 15,000 BTU air conditioners. Will this generator realistically run both AC units at the same time?

Hey TIm! Yes, the Onan 11,000-Watt Tri Fuel Portable Generator # CM98MR has the capacity to run two 15k btu AC units simultaneously on your 5th wheel. This has 11,000 starting watts with 9,000 running watts on gasoline, and is built for larger setups like yours that need enough power to run multiple high-demand appliances at once.
This generator has enough overhead to handle those startup surges without constantly tripping breakers or overloading. You'll still be able to use smaller appliances like a microwave, TV, coffee maker, or battery charger while both AC units are running. However, you still want to be aware of the overall power usage in your trailer.
What kind of 5th wheel are you towing?

Do you have any runtime data for this?

I’ve got a 2026 Grand Design Solitude 390RK with dual 15k AC units and this generator handled both without any issues during a weekend trip in Arkansas. Even with both air conditioners running, we were still able to use the microwave and charge our batteries without overloading the generator. It’s definitely got enough power for a larger fifth wheel setup.
