Direct Replacement for Dometic Penguin II AC That Mounts from Below

Question:

Is your part number DMC76ZR the same as the Dometic Model 640310CXX1J0 ? I need to replace my air conditioner and it is anchored from the inside of the coach with very long, thin bolts. Does your DMC76ZR mount this way, as opposed to four lag bolts from the roof? How do you package and how do you ship? Ive had two shipped from Amazon and they were both damaged in shipment. I would like to get one without it getting damaged in shipment. Shipping address would be to Colorado.

Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out!

According to my research, your 640310CXX1J0 part number is the same as a Penguin II so our Dometic Penguin II High Efficiency RV Air Conditioner # DMC76ZR will work. It does install with bolts coming up from inside as opposed to down from the roof, yes.

As far as shipping goes, we just use the same packaging that Dometic sends the ACs to us in, so it probably will fare about the same as the Amazon packages, if I'm being honest.
