Question:
I have a 2024 Ford F350 that I think I need a sleeve for. I pull a 32 foot trailer with an equalizer hitch and I read in one of the reviews that it’s stuck out too far and the customer ended up getting a new shank for his equalizer hitch. Is that a problem you’ve run into? I really don’t want to have any towing issues. Also, for my truck, will the sleeve slide all the way in and fit with the pins or does it really stick out like an inch and you have to line the holes up?

Hey Mike! A sleeve like the Curt 2-1/2" to 2" item # C45405 would be used if your Equalizer weight distribution system came with a 2" shank and your truck has a 2-1/2" receiver. This would allow you to keep your hitch's full towing and tongue weight capacity.
I am not really following how you would need a new shank to solve that problem unless you wanted to upgrade to one that fit's a 2-1/2" receiver like item # EQ90-02-4800. This shank or the reducer sleeve item # C45405 would accomplish the same thing if you have a weight distribution system with a 2" shank.
The Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # C45405 slides into the 2-1/2" receiver and lines up perfectly with a standard 5/8" hitch pin. It sticks out maybe a 1/4" as you can see in the picture I attached below.

Hey Mike, how did things go with the Curt reducer sleeve on your F350 and Equalizer hitch setup? Did it line up cleanly with your hitch pin and give you the fit you were hoping for? Your update could make it easier for others towing similar trailers.
