What's Difference Between GM Rail Kit for 2016-2019 and 2020 to Newer

Question:
Can you tell me what changed on the puck systems from gm in 2020? I know they changed the location but did the size change too or will the holes line up? Why can’t I use a hitch for a 2020 in a 2018 Duramax? I’m having trouble finding an answer on the reasoning anywhere. All I can find is that they won’t work and newer trucks are behind the axle more. And nowhere tells me if the holes changed distances or not. I’d greatly appreciate if someone could help me understand! Thank you

Hey Ken, the spacing between the pucks changed quite a bit between the two generations of the GM trucks so there's no way to have adapt a hitch made for one to fit the other. The part # BWRVK3770 is a hitch that would fit your 2018 Silverado 2500.
