What is the Quietest Set-up to Haul My 43' 5th Wheel with My 2024 GMC 3500 8' Bed OEM Prep?

I have a 2024 1-ton 3500 non-dually GMC long bed that came with gooseneck package. Which product do I need to haul my 43 ft 5th wheel? Preferably the one with the most comfortable ride.

Hello Christopher,

I think I misread your question the first time. I initially thought you had a 2024 GMC 3500 with just a gooseneck hitch installed, like the B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1020. However, I now realize you’re referring to the OEM Prep Package (puck system), which includes the five factory-installed holes in the bed allowing you to install a 5th wheel hitch in the four outer pucks or a gooseneck ball in the center.

If that’s the case, the choice is pretty simple for me. I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package, either the 20K-rated # BWRVK3710 or, if you need more capacity, the 25K-rated # BWRVK3715. The B&W Companion is one of the quietest and most durable 5th wheel hitches available, thanks to its tight dual-jaw system that completely wraps around the kingpin, eliminating the clunking and chucking that looser jaw designs can cause.
