Question:

How does this unit compare to the B&W unit? And, does the B&W unit come it over 25000 lbs type unit? Thanks

The highest capacity B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch available for your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 long bed would be part # BWRVK3715 which has a 25K capacity.

For a higher capacity alternative, the Curt # C36WR PowerRide has a 30K capacity. The hitch has a actuating handle that's specially designed to be comfortable to use. The hitch also has an integrated teflon lube plate, so you wouldn't need to use any grease on the skid. Both features aren't found on the Companion.

Both hitches have dampened heads which helps to limit chucking, but the hitches use a different jaw system. The Companion uses a 1 inch thick jaw, while the Curt PowerRide uses an interlocking jaw. Both jaw systems do a great job of firmly gripping the king pin, but I'd give the Curt system a slight edge.

Long story short, either hitch would work great for you, but if you need a capacity greater than 25K, the Curt # C36WR PowerRide would be the way to go.
