Does Brake Output Circuit on Vehicle 7-Way Need to be Active for Curt Echo Mobile

With the Curt Ecco do you still need to run the blue wire in 7 way ? Thanks

Hey Doug, you do not need to run the blue wire on the 7-way of your vehicle when using the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180. This controller installed in the 7-way creates this circuit and sends it back on the trailer's wiring for brake output. It is important you have the black wire ran to the positive post of the battery as that provides power for the controller to create the brake output amperage.
