Question:
Hi, I have a 2021 Lark 6x12 Cargo trailer with a 3500 axel w/ e-brakes. It has the original 205/75r15 tires on the stock 15 5-on-4.5 wheels. I am trying to get more clearance and was think of putting larger tires on it. Im fine with remounting or replacing the fenders if needed but wasnt sure if the taskmaster wheel/tire set in 235/75r15 would have any other issues clearing since they would be a little wider. Do you know if I can fit these on my trailer aside from the fender clearance issue? Is there anything else I should consider for gaining clearance aside from the over/under axel conversion? Thanks

Hey Josh, thanks for getting in touch. Sounds like you are on the right track here. The main thing to consider when upgrading tires is the clearance. Our rule is you want to have at least 3" between the tire and the fender, and at least 1" between the inside of the tire and the frame of the trailer.
Your current 205/75r15 tires are about 26.9" in diameter and 7.8" wide.
If you go up to the ST235/75R15 tires like part # WST54FR, they are 28.9" in diameter and 9.25" wide.
So the new tires would sit about 1" closer to the fender, and about 3/4" closer to the trailer frame. If you can measure the current clearance, these measurements should give you a pretty accurate idea of what tires will fit.
You can get additional fender clearance by relocating or replacing the fenders. You can also use an over-under kit like part # K71-384-00.
If you need clearance on the inside of the tire that is more tricky. A longer axle would be the only way to do that, and a lot of times the size of the trailer frame, or placement of the leaf springs can limit your axle options.

Hey Josh, how did your clearance check go with the larger 235/75R15 tires on your Lark trailer? Were the measurements close enough to make the swap work? Your update could make it easier for others looking to gain a bit more height on a similar setup.
